Cormac Hall triumphed again over John McCartan at an action-packed tournament in Dunfanaghy on Wednesday evening.
Dunfanaghy Boxing Club Hall defeated McCartan via a unanimous decision at the Ozanam Centre.
Sixteen contests were on the bill before a packed house with Hall seeing off McCartan in one of the night’s big bouts.
It was Carrickmore man McCartan who Hall defeated in last month’s under-18 57kgs Ulster final.
Anthony Doohan defeated Omagh’s Oisin Rodgers on a 2-1 split decision while Dylan Doherty stopped Toms Janaits from Omagh in the second round.
There was no joy for North West Zones champion Luke Kelly, who lost out to Churchlands’ Jack McAfee.
Riley Doherty from Raphoe ABC defeated Omagh’s Padraig Taggart and there was home joy for Jack Boyle and Sean Doohan over the Omah pair of Sean McDonagh and Terance Ward.
Dunfanaghy Boxing Club Head Coach Eddie Harkin was honoured by the County Donegal Boxing Board on the night. Harkin was presented with an award by referee James McCarron.
Wednesday’s tournament is sponsored by Grafters Gym, Letterkenny.
