The Vikings won 11 gold medals and set six new World and European records in Hungary

Success for Finn Valley Vikings at European Powerlifting Championships

Finn Valley Vikings won 11 gold medals and set six new World and European records at the European Powerlifting Championships.

The Finn Valley crew were in action at the WPC AWPC Europeans Championships in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary.

Edyta Piechowicz won three gold medals and broke two World and European records in the process.

Paulina Coleman also won three gold medals, setting three new European records and two new World records.

Maria McShane claimed a gold medal and setting a World and European record as well as being named ‘best lifter’.

There were golds, too, for Caroline Dolan, Jake Coleman and John McHugh, with a ‘best lifter’ prize claimed by McHugh.

The Vikings were representing  IPO AIPO WPC Ireland at the competition.
