Some 350 children took part in the Letterkenny Athletic Club Schools Cross Country event on Friday.
At O’Donnell Park, the grounds of the St Eunan’s GAA Club, a big crowd of teachers and parents gathered as the children battled it out for places in the county finals.
The top ten athletes in each group qualify for the county finals, which take place in Inishowen next month.
LAC paid tribute to committee and coaches who helped to make the day a success and added a huge note of thanks to St Eunan’s for the use of their facilities.
A sunny Friday helped to make the day a success.
