Over 800 pupils took part in the primary schools cross country at Finn Valley AC on Wednesday.
The September weather kept up its end of the bargain as the hundreds of participants took to the course.
Finn Valley AC’s McElhinney sisters, Caoimhe and Aoibhin, turning out for Dooish NS, were gold and silver medal winners.
Caoimhe McElhinney won the under-11 race with Aoibhin pipped only by Niamh McGlinchey of St Mary’s, Castlefin - another Finn Valley athlete - in the under-13 race.
Sean Gallagher from Scoil Colmcille, Letterkenny was a very impressive winner of the under-13 race, edging Mark Alexander of Dooish.
