Eilish Flanagan will compete alongside her twin sister Roisin at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Italy next weekend.
The Finn Valley AC twins will now both be a part of the Irish team at Mandria Park in Turin.
Eilish Flanagan received confirmation of her addition to the team after the withdrawal of another Irish athlete in recent days.
The Flanagan sisters, coached by Damon Martin in the United States, are joined by Letterkenny AC's Ann-Marie McGlynn, who stormed to an excellent fourth-place finish at the recent National Senior Cross Country Championships in Rosapenna.
Ireland finished fourth in Europe last year, when the Championships were held in Santry, and will look to be in the mix for medals again on Sunday.
Finn Valley AC's Sean McGinley also toes the line in Turin, as part of the Irish under-20 men's team.
