McColgan and Parke play, but Ireland beaten by Bavaria in Regions Cup

Lee McColgan and Jack Parke played the full 90 minutes on Sunday, but the Republic of Ireland Amateur International team lost to Bavaria at the UEFA Regions Cup on Sunday.

Cockhill Celtic's McColgan and Bonagee United man Parke were included by Gerry Smith in the starting XI.

Goals from Julian Kania and Martin Mayer gave Bavaria the win in Spain.

McColgan went close to an Irish equaliser, but was denied by Ludwig Zech after he rose high in the area.

McColgan played the full game in the 2-0 defeat to Galicia in the opening game.

Ireland will now face Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday.
