Keith Cowan has signed for Dergview.

A day after announcing his departure from Finn Harps, Keith Cowan has joined up with Dergview.

The Ramelton man had come back on board on Navenny Street back in Decemver, 2022 but with Dave Rogers bolstering numbers in recent weeks, Cowan found his game time limited.

In a statement released by the Ballybofey club on Monday, Harps said: “Keith and his wife Edel have recently welcomed their baby girl into the world and along with work commitments it has been agreed that his family must take priority. Thanks for everything Keith.”

Cowan himself also commented on Twitter: Speaking on Twitter, Cowan explained: “Regrettably my spell second at Finn HarpsFC has come to an end. It has been a difficult decision, but one that has been made in the interest of both the team and myself.

“I did not want to give the role any less than it deserves. However, family and work commitments must take precedence at this time in my life.

“I would like to thank the gaffer, his staff, but most of all my teammates and wish them and the club every success in the future. Up the Harps.”

Meanwhile, the Castlederg club has also taken Killybegs native and former St Catherine’s man Josh Maxwell on board.
