Kerry Brown.
Kerry Brown scored one of the goals on Friday night to send Sion Swifts into the semi-finals of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup.
The Greencastle woman netted the opening goal in a 2-0 win over Crusaders at Seaview with Cora Chambers adding the second.
Brown has been capped at underage level by the Republic of Ireland and is back at Sion following a spell at Derry City in 2022.
Raphoe woman Zoe McGlynn also started for Sion on Friday night with Malin’s Tara O’Connor beginning the evening among the substitutes.
Sion are also looking ahead to the Women’s Premiership Cup final against Cliftonville. That final takes place on August 31 at Stangmore Park in Dungannon.
The Swifts have overcome Ballymena United Women, Mid Ulster Ladies and a narrow semi-final victory over Crusaders to seal a place in this year’s final.
Chambers’ brace in extra time in last season’s final saw Sion win the Cup for the first time.
Kerrykeel woman Caoimhe Walsh and Ellie Long from Carndonagh are also on the Sion senior squad.
