Donegal players impress in Ireland Deaf Futsal team's win over Brazilian club

Drumbar United’s Teagan O’Reilly scored four, while Ramelton native Catherine Grier, who plays for Bonagee United, netted twice, as did Laura McGuinn from Sligo, who plays for Drumbar as well. Leah McMonagle from Raphoe Town also played.

The Ireland Deaf Futsal team, who enjoyed a comprehensive victory over Palmeiras from Brazil

The Ireland Deaf Futsal team beat Palmeiras from Brazil 13-1 with Donegal to the fore.

Drumbar United’s Teagan O’Reilly scored four, while Ramelton native Catherine Grier, who plays for Bonagee United, netted twice, as did Laura McGuinn from Sligo, who plays for Drumbar as well. Leah McMonagle from Raphoe Town also played.

The Irish Deaf Women's Futsal Team have been drawn with Japan, England and Kenya in Group B of the World Deaf Futsal Championships in Brazil in November, having secured their qualification when they defeated Sweden 5-2 at the EDSO European Deaf Championship Futsal 2022 at Montesilvano in Italy last October.
