Finn Harps teenager Aaron McLaughlin has been named in Colin O’Brien’s Republic of Ireland U-18s squad that travels to Spain for a double-header against Belgium next week.
The squad of 20 will face the Belgians at the Oliva Nova Resort in the north east of the country on Thursday, November 16 and Saturday, November 18.
Academy graduate and Kerrykeel native McLaughlin was one of a few bright sparks in what was a difficult season for Harps as they finished second from bottom in the First Division.
