Séamas Keogh has left Finn Harps
Séamus Keogh has left Finn Harps the Ballybofey club has confirmed.
The 22-year-old joined from neighbours Sligo Rovers in December 2022. Keogh came through the Bit O’ Red’s academy after beginning his career with Benbulben FC. He moved to Premier League side Southampton in 2018 where he spent three years.
He returned to his native Sligo midway through the 2021 season before making the move to Finn Park under former boss Dave Rogers.
The club recently confirmed they had spoken to both Ryan Flood and Keogh ahead of the 2024 season.
“Both players expressed that they would prefer to work in full-time environments. Reluctantly, the club are willing to speak with interested parties," boss Darren Murphy said at the time.
However, Flood did play and score in last weekend's 2-2 friendly draw with Derry City at Finn Park.
A short statement on Finn Harps’ social media account on Saturday evening read: “We’d like to thank Seamas for his efforts and wish him the best of luck going forward”.
