Shane Blaney, seen here in the colours of Sligo Rovers, grabbed a point for Motherwell at Fir Park
Letterkenny native Shane Blaney struck a 94th-minute leveller for Motherwell against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.
The central defender's screamer sealed a 1-1 draw after Myziane Maolida had put the visitors ahead at Fir Park on 64 minutes. The two dropped points mean Hibernian miss out on a top-six finish ahead of the split as they now have played 33 games and trail Dundee, who still have a game to play, by a point.
Motherwell will also have to battle it out in the bottom six, finishing one place behind Hibernian in eighth.
Blaney played for Illistrin and Donegal Schoolboys and whilst at Finn Harps in 2017, made three senior appearances, having represented the Ballybofey club's U-17 and U-19 sides. He joined Doncaster Rovers in 2018 and played on loan at Tamworth, Grantham Town and Blyth Spartans before returning to the north-west with Sligo Rovers, before joining Motherwell in early 2023.
