Tyler Toland
Tyler Toland has been confirmed as the Blackburn Rovers captain for the 2024/25 season.
Blackburn lost 2-1 to London City Lionesses on Sunday in their opening Barclays Women's Championship game of the new season at Ewood Park.
St Johnston woman Toland, a Republic of Ireland international, has been handed the armband by Simon Parker.
Last season, Blackburn finished sixth – their highest ever League placing.
Goals by Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and Lucy Fitzgerald in the first-half handed London City a firm advantage on Sunday while Farah Compton pulled one back for Blackburn.
Toland, a 23-year-old from St Johnston, joined Blackburn at the start of last season and scored one goal in 20 appearances.
Previously, Toland was on the books at Manchester City, Glasgow City, Celtic and Levante.
