Amber Barrett celebrates her first goal for Strasbourg
Amber Barrett has once again scored a history-making goal as she scored the winner for Racing Club Strasbourg to take them through to the quarter-final of the French Cup for the first time in the club's history.
The Milford woman poked home from close range after a cross in the 72nd minute to score the only goal of the game to defeat Grenoble, only coming on as a substitute on the hour mark.
It’s the first time the club has made the last eight of the Coupe de France, the premier cup competition in the country.
Barrett is no stranger to scoring historic goals, scoring the most famous one in the history of the Republic of Ireland WNT, as she scored the winner against Scotland in October 2022 to qualify the country for their first ever Women’s World Cup.

Barrett only signed for the club two weeks ago, making her debut off the bench in a 1-0 win over Lens on January 17, a day after her 30th birthday.
Strasbourg currently sits in sixth place in the French Premier League with 22 points, just five points off second-placed side Nantes.
