Kerrykeel 71 unveil new jersey - with a tribute to John Joe McAteer

The late John Joe McAteer and (insert) Kerrykeel 71's new jersey.

The late John Joe McAteer has had his name literally stitched into fabric of his beloved Kerrykeel 71 Club.

John Joe, who died on Christmas Eve, was the founder member of Kerrykeel 71 Club.

He was a lifelong member and a long-time manager of the club and was a stalwart of the Donegal Junior League.

Now, the Rabs Park club have unveiled a new jersey that commemorates not only their 50th anniversary, but honours John Joe’s memory.

Kerrykeel 71 said: “We have also placed the name of John Joe on the back with the iconic number 71 in memory of the man who give his entire life to the club he loved.”
