Sky Sports football analyst Jamie Carragher admits he 'feels sorry' for Everton captain Seamus Coleman.

Everton have now lost 14 of their last 18 matches in the Premier League and last  night were beaten 5-0 by Tottenham Hotspur, which means they're in 17th place in the table just two points ahead of Burnley.

“When you talk about a team being too good to go down. Well with this Everton team it’s because of the attacking players, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin etc. But this Everton back four is a Championship back four, there’s absolutely no doubt whatsoever. Seamus Coleman I actually feel sorry for. He’s been a great full-back for them, but right now this is happening far too much,” the former Liverpool defender Carragher said on Sky at half-time, by which stage Spurs were 3-0 up.

Everton's Michael Keane put Ryan Sessegnon's cross into his own net before goalkeeper Jordan Pickford saw Son Heung-min's shot go under his body for 2-0. Matt Doherty set Harry Kane away for number three before substitute Sergio Reguilon scored with his first touch. Kane added the fifth 10 minutes into the second half having again been set up by Doherty.
