Lagan Harps and Bonagee United will renew rivalry after the draw was made for the Donegal Women’s League’s Senior Cup.

The draw took place on Tuesday evening and paired the old rivals together once again.

Lagan, the Cup holders, will host Bonagee at Orchard Park on Monday, August 22.

Lagan had the upper hand when winning 3-1 on the opening night of the League in April, but Bonagee turned the tables when winning 4-1 in Manor in the Women’s FAI Intermediate Cup a fortnight later, Bronagh Gallagher grabbing a hat-trick.

Bonagee followed up with a 3-0 win at Orchard Park in their next League assignment and last month the Dry Arch representatives overcame their derby rivals on a similar scoreline.

Both sides are still in the hunt for League honours heading into the last series of League games on Monday. Bonagee need a point from their away trip to Drumbar United to seal the title with Lagan going away to Raphoe Town poised to capitalise on any potential slip.

The other Cup semi-final sees Raphoe Town - last year’s beaten finalists - at home to Drumbar United.
