For the good intentioned in south Donegal, it was simple. You nip across the border, head to the St Patrick's Day parade in Belleek for the 1pm start, jaunt into Ballyshannon for the 2pm parade and then head the couple of miles into Bundoran for 3.30pm for the offering from the seaside resort and some refreshments.
But such was the fun and excitement at the Belleek parade, families and revellers decided to stay put in Belleek and from all the excitement and pageantry on offer as you can see from the brilliant photos, you can totally understand why!
It was a long awaited return for Belleek parade which turned out to be a fun day for all the family.
A small committee of volunteers supported by Belleek Development and Heritage Group, got all the local community organisations, townlands, schools and businesses to showcase themselves to locals and visitors alike.
Belleek Pottery sponsored a trophy and Patsy McCauley, funeral director donated a prize for the best float in the parade.
There was also a prize for the best window or door display with the “go green” theme.
The Wark Hall had a jumble sale with some great bargains Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre was open as well.
As the St Patrick's Day fell kindly on the Friday, festivities, fun and entertainment lasted the whole weekend.
