Charlie Mooney will serve a three-year term as Ardara GAA Club President until 2026
Charlie Mooney was this week elected as the Ardara GAA club President.
He will serve a three-year term as Club President until 2026, taking over from the late Packie Maguire, who sadly passed away at Donegal Community Hospital at 90 years of age in March.
Congratulations to Charlie on his election," Ardara GAA club posted. "A fitting tribute for a lifetime of dedication to the club."
Last month, Ardara paid tribute to Maguire by saying: "Packie took great pride in the many achievements of the club over the years and loved to talk football with young and old whenever he got the chance. He was a fiercely proud Ardara man, and he will always be remembered as one of our most loyal players, who made every effort to come home to play for the club particularly in those years where emigration was the only choice many young men had in life."
