Killybegs Mariners Sea Angling Club raise €2,685 each for two worthy charities

A total of €5,370 was raised providing €2,685 each for their two chosen charities - the Good and New Donegal to Galway Cancer Bus and the Bundoran RNLI lifeboat service

Charity presentations took place from the successful Christmas charity open beach competition run by the Killybegs Mariners Sea Angling Club held in Rossnowlagh and supported by 70 anglers on the day.

A total of €5,370 was raised providing €2,685 each for their two chosen charities - the Good and New Donegal to Galway Cancer Bus and the Bundoran RNLI lifeboat service.

“Huge thanks to all the sponsors and orgainisers of the event that donated cash and prizes to support the causes and all the anglers that travelled from all over Ireland to support the event,” a spokesperson said. “A great community spirit and hopefully your generosity will help save lives. Well done to all.”
