2022 Bundoran 10 beneficiaries, RNLI and Tir Chonaill AC receive almost €14,000

Tullaghan Development Association also receive generous gesture

2022 Bundoran 10 beneficiaries, RNLI and Tir Chonaill AC receive almost €14,000

Bundoran 10 beneficiaries this year included Bundoran RNLI and Tirconaill AC

Bundoran 10 organisers were delighted to present their two community and charity beneficiaries with the proceeds from this year's event, which was held back in March.

Almost €14,000 was raised after the new event which replaced the old Cara run took place to the backdrop of some stunning scenery.

The run/walk takes advantage of the stunning coastal views offered along the southwest Donegal coastline as well as crossing the county boundary into Leitrim for part of the route, finishing via the popular Roguey Walk at Bundoran’s Main Beach.

The Bundoran 10 replaced the popular Cara Bundoran Challenge which had been run in the seaside town for a number of years.

And with the forced cancellations over two years due to the Covid pandemic, there was an extra sense of accomplishment by all participants for 2022.

Our main photo shows a cheque for €8,500 being presented to RNLI Bundoran Lifeboat Station.

And a generous gesture from the Bundoran 10 team

The committee of Bundoran 10 also kindly donated €250 from their very successful Bundoran 10 Run to the Tullaghan Development Association and which passes through the quant north Leitrim village.

Tullaghan Development were absolutely delighted at this very generous gesture, which was handed over at the new restaurant in Tullaghan, The Selkie, where the village had just celebrated coming first in the All-Ireland Coastal Communities category in Ireland's Pride of Place awards.

Bundoran 10 would like to thank everyone for taking part and supporting this year's event and they are already looking forward to next year.
