Freezing conditions forces cancellation of a number of Donegal fixtures

Saturday's Paul McGirr Cup (Ulster U-16) final between St. Eunan's and St. Peter's of Warrenpoint has been postponed.

Freezing conditions in the north west have forced the cancellation of a number of fixtures, among them the eagerly awaited U-16 decider which was due to be played in Dromore.

St Eunan’s, the Donegal U-16 champions, are bidding for a first Paul McGirr Cup title. Their game against the Down champions, St. Peter's, is likely to be played on Saturday week.

Meanwhile, Friday night's SFAI U-15 Ulster Area Final between Bonagee Utd and Swilly Rovers which was due to be played at Dry Arch Park in Letterkenny, is off because of a frozen pitch.

Earlier today, the schools meeting of St. Eunan's College and Carndonagh CS was also cancelled.
