Donegal manager, Declan Bonner, was pretty happy after Saturday night's win over neighbours Tyrone, although he was at pains to point out that it was not the perfect performance.
He felt the first half was a mixed affair but was really happy with the way his charges performed when playing against the breeze in the second half.
"I thought the second half was really, really good and a lot of those young lads really stood up, you know."
Donegal trailed by 0-7 to 0-3 coming up to half-time before a goal from Conor O'Donnell and a Jason McGee point had them level going in at the break; so what was said at half-time to get the turnaround.
"The breeze is always difficult and sometimes we do play better against the breeze, because we have a lot of natural footballers. We are missing a lot of guys who have that height, the likes of (Michael) Langan, the like of Caolan McGonagle and Michael Murphy in that wind factor.
"But listen, we started the game well in the first 10, 15 minutes, a couple of scores on the board. Yeah, Tyrone got their patch and we were under the cosh for a while but I thought the goal (from Conor O'Donnell) was a big score for us before half-time.
"I thought the second half performances was excellent," said Bonner.
Looking back a week and the criticism that Donegal received for their second half performance in Killarney, Bonner felt the reaction was good from his team.
"Listen, we spoke about it during the week. The lads trained really, really well and were really focused for the match today.
"It is still only two points, but it's nice to get those two against your north-west opponents, Tyrone, who are All-Ireland champions. We have to move on now two weeks to Monaghan and that's our next task."
"Listen, it has been a good night's work for us but we are not going to get carried away. We know, we will continue our training on Tuesday night and we'll get ready for the next challenge," said Bonner.
