Teenager hospitalised after early-morning assault in Buncrana
Teenager hospitalised following reported assault in Buncrana as Garda investigation continues.
Gardaí are investigating an early-morning assault in Buncrana which resulted in a teenage man being taken to hospital.
The incident occurred on the Upper Main Street at around 4.15am on Sunday, August 30th.
The adult male, who is in his late teens, was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital, where he was assessed for a facial injury following the incident.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that gardaí were alerted to the alleged assault.
The spokesperson said: “Gardaí received a report of an assault at Main Street, Buncrana, Co Donegal, at around 4:15am on 30th August 2026.”
They added: “An adult male in his late teens was brought by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital for assessment. Investigations are ongoing.”
