Uisce Éireann say they have successfully restored normal water production at the Ardsbeg Water Treatment Plant following a technical fault at the facility yesterday.
They confirmed that normal water supply has been restored to the majority of homes and businesses in Gortahork, Falcarragh and surrounding areas. The remaining properties can expect to have a full supply within the next few hours as the water network replenishes.
Seamus O’Brien, Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, thanked customers for their patience while work was underway:
“We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we completed repair works to restore the water supply.”
