Calls have been made for safety measures to be put in place in Doochary following a number of collisions in the village.
At a recent meeting of the Glenties Municipal District, Cllr Noreen McGarvey called for additional signage and safety measures to be put in place. She said that she has been informed that a car hit a wall near a spot where children had been playing twenty minutes earlier.
She says there have been a number of incidents in recent weeks and something needs to be done before someone is injured in the village.
Ms Mc Garvey was informed that accidents need to be reported to the gardaí so they can be sent with funding applications. She was also told that speeding measures in Doochary would be discussed with gardaí.
