Mum Talks are to host their first event in Donegal later this month.

A supportive and empowering network for women in Ireland who are also mums, they are launching on the morning of Thursday, November 28, at Castle Grove House in Letterkenny, from 10:30am till 12 noon.

“Talks run events all over the country and our first one for Donegal is happening right here in Letterkenny,” says Angela McGilloway, a Consultant working in Letterkenny Hospital and also the ambassador for MumTalks.ie for Derry/Donegal.

“Mums can come with or without their babies and enjoy breakfast whilst they listen to three speakers that we usually choose around maternal health, baby health/development and also to support a local ‘mumentrepreneur’.

“For our inaugural Donegal event here, we will be hearing from Geraldine Hanley a Perinatal Mental Health Midwife Specialist, working here in Letterkenny within the HSE; Stephanie Donaldson, a Sleep Consultant who works throughout Ireland with her company ‘Out For The Count’ helping us settle our little humans; and our local mum and business owner April Quigley, founder of Bo & Rey, suggesting what can help mums in indulging in the art of self-care.”

Tickets can be purchased online, and the launch is sponsored by McCabe’s Pharmacy, so every mum in attendance will also receive a generous goody bag on the day.
