The event starts at Lakeside Centre and finishes at East Port using the same course as 2024
The 11th Annual Streets of Ballyshannon 5k takes place this year on Saturday, April 12 at 11.30am from the Lakeside Centre, Ballyshannon.
This event has grown in popularity since its inception in 2014. Last year's event attracted an entry of over 300 and organisers are expecting well in excess of 400 this year.
Event starts at Lakeside Centre and finishes at East Port using the same course as 2024. Prizes for seniors, masters, juveniles plus spot-prizes for joggers, fun runners, couch to 5k and walkers. Medals for all finishers.
Registration is online and it is advisable to register early. The event is organised by Ballyshannon Rugby Club to help fund continued development of underage rugby in the area.
In previous years, this event raised funds for SHOUT, but this year's beneficiary will be Sligo Cancer Support Centre. Race Director Martin ‘Cookie’ O’ Halloran has chosen this organisation because he has found them to be of immense support and help to him and his family during his recent illness and treatment.
Presentation and Refreshments in Lakeside afterwards. Further info from Joe Flannery at 087 2969454 or Ballyshannon Rugby Club Facebook Page.
