Palestine Culture Night in Letterkenny showed ‘rich heritage and culture’

Palestine Culture Night was held in Letterkenny to mark the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

The event was hosted in The Regional Cultural Centre and featured the opening of a poignant art exhibition by Gaza artists Raed Issa and Sohail Salem. 

Using handmade charcoal, biro, and pigments drawn from flowers and leaves, their art documents both devastation and resilience in a deeply moving way.

“Nice evening down in the RCC at the Palestine Night of Culture in Letterkenny last night,” Councillor Gerry McMonagle shared. “Palestine has a very varied and rich heritage and culture, which was very evident last night listening to their poetry, music and viewing the art on display.”
