Joe Coyle and Thomas Given got a warm welcome at Glenties Service Station where they stopped during their Go4Pieta challenge in June.
A public meeting will be held this Thursday at 7.30pm in the Clanree Hotel, Letterkenny to update everyone and thank all those who supported the Go4 Pieta fundraising challenge.
Joe Coyle and Thomas Given will tell the story of the Go4Pieta journey.
The two men cycled from Mountcharles to Burtonport, walked the islands of Arranmore, Gola and Tory then on to Downings, and walked from Downings to Mountcharles, all in 3 days in June, to raise funds for the establishment of a Pieta House here in the North West.
The charity supports anyone struggling with suicidal thoughts.
“So many people helped us out in so very many ways,” Joe told the Democrat. “This is our chance to thank them for all they have done to help bring Pieta House to the North West.”
The total sum raised will be announced on the night.
