Three south-west clubs all looking for new managers ahead of 2027
Three southwest sides are all looking for new senior managers ahead of the 2027 season.
Ardara and Kilcar have both advertised positions on their social media this week however DonegalLive understands that Killybegs are also in the market for a new senior football team boss.
Clint Walsh had been in charge in Pearse Memorial Park for the last two seasons. He did help guide the club back to Division 1 of the All-County League while Ardara escaped a SFC relegation dogfight when they seen off Killybegs in the relegation semi-finals.
Kilcar finished their Division 1 league campaign in sixth spot while Mark Sweeney guided the side to the last eight in the battle for Dr Maguire before being eliminated by Naomh Conaill.
The Towney outfit is also looking for a reserve team manager for next season.
Meanwhile, it’s believed that Pauric Bonner has also stepped away at Killybegs. The Dungloe native helped the Fishemen to a fifth-placed finish in Division 2 of the All-County League.
And in the SFC, the side just about held onto their championship status when they saw off Glenfin in the relegation decider.
