Chairman Seamus Gallagher explained that this is a plan informed by the community, driven by the community, and points the way to an exciting future for the locality.

These plans are the start of big changes for the village and continued that any further input from the community is welcomed in the coming weeks and months.

The plan was put together by Paul Doherty Architects and Anna Meehan. They told those in attendance about the plans and that they are looking forward to hearing any other ideas that can be added.

Councillor Niamh Kennedy commended the local committee for their hard work in helping to get this plan together for the launch night and said: “It is a fantastic opportunity for the village and surrounding area.”

Coiste Forbatha na Carraige would like to thank all who helped with this plan - too many to mention - and thanks to all who attended it was great to see such a large turnout for this positive news for the village. The plan will be available to view or download on carrick.ie in the next few days.
