Death notices for Donegal on Thursday morning

The following deaths have taken place:

Carol Aytour, London and Ballyshannon

The death has taken place of Carol Aytour, néee Farmer, London and formerly of Cloughbally, Ballyshannon.

Forever remembered by her husband Abbie, daughter Sara (Sherif) and son Daniel (Katherine). Much loved by her grandchildren Janna, Adam and Oisin. Carol is be sadly missed by her brother Michael, sister Betty, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mass of the Resurrection shall be celebrated in St Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon on Saturday at 11am. Mass shall be streamed live at www.churchservices.tv/Stpatickballyshannon/

Mary Cunningham, Dublin and Frosses

The death has taken place of Mary Cunningham, née Coughlan, Stillogran, Dublin and late of Frosses. She passed away peacefully at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Connell, daughters Emer and Nuala, son Paul, and her sister Teena, daughter-in-law Flor, sons-in-law Paul and Jimmy, grandchildren Aisling, Christine, Isabelle, Sam and James, relatives, carers Janice, Tina, Lea and Gina, neighbours and many friends.

Mary's remains will be lying in repose at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Blackrock, A94 X308, on Friday from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Mass at Church of St Laurence O'Toole, Kilmacud on Saturday at 10am.

Eileen Doherty, Milford

The death has taken place peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital of Eileen Doherty, Glenkeen, Milford.

Deeply regretted by her loving children, Joseph, Ciaran, Kevin, Padraig, Roisin, Colleen and their partners; grandchildren Ciaran and Maeve, sister Anita, brother Patrick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe and brother Denis.

Her remains are reposal at her home with visitation from 12 noon until 10pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral. 

Requiem Mass on Friday at 2pm in St Peter’s Church, Milford. Burial will take place afterwards in Milford Cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed on Church Services TV St Peter’s Church Milford on www.churchservices.tv/milford

Sally Blake, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Sally (Sarah) Blake, 14, Ard O'Donnell, Letterkenny, F92 H58V. She passed away in the wonderful care of all the staff of Archview Lodge, Nursing Home, Letterkenny and the Palliative Care team.

Predeceased by her parents Michael (Micky) and Mollie (Larkin), remembered by her family, John, Michael, Alec (Kay) Limerick, nephews Michael (Mary) Leitrim, Paul (Emily) UK, nieces Breid (Australia), Marie (Rob) Limerick and Karen (Shane) Limerick, relatives, loyal visitors, neighbours and many friends.

Reposal of her remains continues at her late residence on Thursday from 12 noon to 9pm with Rosary at 9pm. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass in Eunan’s Cathedral on Friday at 11am which can be viewed live at www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

Francie McCabe, Gweedore

The peaceful death has occurred at his home of Francie Mc Cabe, Curransport, Gweedore.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Nora and his son Patrick, he is survived by his wife Margaret, his daughters Sharon, Tina and Noreen, his sons Shaun and Kieran, sons in law Mairtin, Aonghus and Hugh, daughters in law Alisa and Neasa, grandchildren, great grandchild and a circle of family and friends

His remains are reposing at his residence for family, friends and neighbours with Rosary at 8pm. House private after Rosary until 11am and on the morning of the Funeral. 

Funeral from there on Friday for 11am Requiem Mass in St Colmcille Church, Knockfola F92 D586 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on Gallagher Funeral Directors facebook Page. 

James Allen McClean, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of James Allen McClean, Hawthorn Lodge, Magherabouy, Letterkenny, F92 P86E. 

Deeply missed by his loving wife Ann, sons Allen and wife Lisa (Gartan), Stewart and wife Claire (Mountain Top, Letterkenny) and daughter Louise and husband David Magee (Raphoe), grandchildren DJ, Caolán, Caoimhe, Eve and Noa, brothers Frank and John, sisters Rosemary and Sandra, uncles, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. James is predeceased by his parents Allen and Ena.

Reposal of his remains continues at his late residence on Thursday from 11am until 9pm.

Funeral from there on Friday at 1.15pm going to Ray Presbyterian Church, Manorcunningham for Service of Thanksgiving at 2pm. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Medical 3 Ward, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

Rose McDaid, Letterkenny

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Rose McDaid (Wee Rosie), Bomany, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by baby Michael, she is sadly missed by her loving husband Alex and children Sylvia (Reg), James (Claire), Dana, Sharon and Alex (Naomi), grandchildren Daniel, Enda, Josh, Kyle, Connor, Ciara, Oran, Alex, Aoife, Aine and Dominic. 

Hre remains are reposing from her late residence. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Julia Mc Laughlin, Rathmullan

The death has occurred at Curam Care Home, Navan Road, Dublin of Julia Mc Laughlin, née Loughrey, 1 O'Callaghan Court, Pier Road, Rathmullan, F92 XF77.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Charlie and Nigel, daughter Maura, son-in-law David and daughter-in-law Roisin. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Aby, Corey, Rachel and John. Sincerely missed by all her extended family, friends and neighbours. Julia is predeceased by her loving husband John, her brother, John and sisters, Bridget, Mary and Margaret.

Her remains are reposing at her home in Rathmullan. Family time from 10pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Joe Curley, Malin

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Joe Curley, Magherard, Malin.

Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his cousin, Margaret McCole, his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, many friends and neighbours.

Joe's remains are reposing at the home of Margaret McCole, Magherard, Malin F93 H2P7 where everyone is welcome to pay their respects. Rosary at 10pm.

Funeral from there on Friday at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Patrick's Church, Aughaclay, with burial after in the adjoining graveyard.
