The following deaths have taken place:

John Fullerton, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place of John Fullerton, Rooskey, Newtowncunningham, F93 C822, formerly of Larne, Co Antrim.

He passed away peacefully at his late residence, surrounded by his caring family.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Patricia, daughter Rebecca, sons William (Hazel) and John.

Deeply regretted by loving parents William and Anne, his cherished grandchildren Sophie, Finn and Violet.

Fondly remembered by sisters Aileen & Sharon, brothers Billy, Mark & Robert, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends & neighbours.

John’s remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there on Sunday, September 7 for requiem Mass in all Saints Church Newtowncunningham at 1pm, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

House private to family & close friends, at the request of the deceased.

Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu, if desired, to the Donegal Hospice c/o of any family member or Charlie Mc Clafferty, Funeral Director.

Bridget "Pat" McClafferty (née Duggan), Falcarragh

The death has taken place of Bridget “Pat” McClafferty (nee Duggan), Carrowcannon, Falcarragh.

Predeceased by her daughter Pat, sister Anna, and parents Bridget and Vin.

Sadly missed by her beloved husband Jim, her children Michelle, Kevin, Jimmy and Mark, her sister Sally, brothers Brian and Seamus, and her extended family and friends. Pat was a very proud granny to Bridget, Kate, Kyla and Johnny.

Remains reposing at Gortahork Funeral Premises F92 FT7C, from Friday, September 5, and from Saturday, September 6, from 5pm until 9pm both evenings.

Rosary both nights at 8pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 10.30am on Sunday, September 7, in Teach Phobail Naomh Fionán, Falcarragh Church, Co. Donegal F92 N6Y9.

Private burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery, for family and friends.

Patricia McHugh, Portnoo

The death has occurred of Patricia McHugh (nee Breslin), Summy, Portnoo, F94Y3F6, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully in her own home after a short illness.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Patrick, son Steven(Lorraine), daughters Caroline(Bernie), and Martina (Jonathan), grandchildren Aimee, Ryan, Shane, Emily, Megan and Corey, brother Dim and sisters Sally, Margaret, Kathleen and Veronica, other family members and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Maggie Ann and Dominic, sisters Mary, Rosaleen and Noreen.

Remains reposing at her home from 3pm until 10pm on, Friday September 5, and on Saturday, September 6 from 12 noon until 10pm.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed.

Bertha McClean, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, September 4 of Bertha McClean neé Wylie, Glenvista, Cullion Road, Letterkenny.

Deeply missed by her loving sons Keith (Dawn), Colin (Lorna), daughter Maud (Ciaran), grandchildren Karen, Lynsey, Gavin, Matthew, Kelvin, Lara and JP and five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by her husband John, son Bryan, sister Evelyn Clarke, brothers Allan Wylie and Noel Wylie.

Bertha’s remains will be reposing at her late residence. Wake private please at the request of the deceased.

Funeral Service of Thanksgiving at Bertha’s home on Saturday, September 6 at 2pm with interment afterwards to Gortlee Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Donations, if desired, to Meningitis Research c/o any family member.

Teresa McGarvey, Creeslough and Dublin

The death has taken place in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin of Teresa McGarvey, Domville Road, Templeogue, Co. Dublin and formerly Derryart, Creeslough.

Teresa will be sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Her remains will arrive at St Michael’s Church, Creeslough on Friday, September 5 at 6pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass there on Saturday, September 6 at 11.00 am, followed by burial in Doe Graveyard.

John McDyre, Glenties

The peaceful death has occurred, surrounded by his loving family, of John McDyre, Maas, Glenties, F94 X5DO.

Predeceased by his loving wife Ann. Forever loved by his sons Gerard (Helen), Bernard ( Deirdre), Denis (Elizabeth), and daughters Breege (PJ RIP), Bernadette (Paddy), Ann Marie (Donal), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family neighbours and friends.

John’s remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara on Thursday, September 4 from 4pm until 7pm, followed by removal to his home.

Removal from his home on Saturday morning at 10.30am to St. Connells Church, Glenties for Requiem Mass at 11 am with interment afterwards in the local cemetery.

Family flowers only donations in-lieu if desired to The Day Centre Glenties.

Dolie Higgins, Letterkenny

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Dolie Higgins, 21 Slieve Sneacht Close, Letterkenny, F92 VHF9.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Nuala, sons John (Sandra), Danny (Elaine) and Marty (Stephanie), daughter Cathy (Dean), grandchildren, sisters Kay McCafferty, Annie Shaw and Bridie Whoriskey, brother Francis Higgins, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Dolie is predeceased by his parents Joe and Maggie, brothers Joh and Peadar, and sister Margaret Harkin.

Dolie’s remains will be reposing at his home, 21 Slieve Sneacht Close on Thursday, September 4 from 5pm until 10 pm and on Friday, September 5 from 12 noon until 10 pm, with Rosary both nights at 9 pm.

Funeral from there on Saturday, September 6 at 10.30 am, going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11 am Requiem Mass, which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Intensive Care Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

John Stack, Clonmany and Blackrock 

The death has occurred of John Stack, formerly of St Columbcille Village, Clonmany; Riverdale Park, Straboe, Buncrana and Blackrock, Co Dublin.

He passed away peacefully on September 2 in the loving care of the staff at Letterkenny University Hospital.

He is sadly missed by his loving children Sean, Siobhan, Marie, Niall and Olivia and their mother Celine much loved grandfather of James, Alfie, Lily, Oscar, Se, Rylan, Eloise, Lloyd and Fionn, father-in-law of Brendan, Ralph, and Jodie, brother of Louise, Margaret and the late Eilish, Edmond and Michael. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbours, all the wonderful staff at St Columbcille Village, Clonmany.

John will be reposing in his home, St Columbcille Village, Clonmany from 3pm on Friday. 

Requiem Mass will take place in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, on Saturday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
