Death notices and funeral arrangements for Donegal on Monday morning, October 13

The following deaths have taken place:

Danny Coyle, Lifford and St Johnston

The death has taken place October 15th 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Stranorlar of Danny Coyle, late of St. Columba’s Grove, Ballyduff Park, Lifford and formerly of Trentagh, St. Johnston.

Beloved son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Coyle and much loved brother of Celine and the late John, Willie, Anna, Mena, Teresa, Maureen, Nellie, Tom and the late baby Bernadette.

Reposing at St Columba’s Grove on Wednesday, October 15 from 6pm.

Funeral leaving St Columba’s Grove on Friday at 12.20p.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Baithin’s Church, St Johnston at 1pm.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sister, nieces, nephews and family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.


Conall Carr, Kilcar

The peaceful death of Conall Carr has occurred in the exceptional care of the staff of Harbour Lights Nursing Home.

Sadly missed by his son Kevin, his sister Nuala Curley, sisters in law Mary Agnes and Rose, nieces, nephews, his many cousins and friends.

Predeceased by his loving wife Manuella, his parents Francis and Brigid, brothers Prionnsias, Eamon, Michael, Sean, Paddy and Vincent, sisters Maureen (O Gara) Eileen (Mc Govern) and Maeve (Brennan).

Arriving to St Cartha’s Church Kilcar (F94H2Y5) at 8pm on Friday 17th October. Funeral mass on Saturday 18th October at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Harbour Lights Nursing Home. Conall’s family are eternally grateful for the love and care shown to Conall. Conall’s funeral mass can be viewed live here.

Peggy Mooney, Bunbeg

The death has taken place in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair of Peggy Mooney, Strand Road, Bunbeg.

Predeceased by her parents, Kate and Mickey, sister Gracie, brother Neilí and niece Kathleen.

Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home Derrybeg, F92 DN4X Tuesday, October 14 and Wednesday from 4pm until rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 1pm in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Dunlewey, F92 N668, with burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Joe Sweeney, Bunbeg

The death has taken place at Falcarragh Community Hospital of Joe Sweeney (Joe Beag Joe Mór) of Magheraclogher, Bunbeg.

Predeceased by his parents, Annie and Joe Mór, nephew Cormac, brother-in-law Barry, sister Máire and her husband Vincent, sister Susie and her husband Patsy.

Sadly missed by his sister Margaret (Richardson), nieces and nephews; Ciarán, Colm, Daríona, Paul, Majella &and Brian, and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his sister Margaret Richardson’s home in Magheraclogher (F92 X3E3) on Tuesday, October 14 from 5pm to 8pm and on Wednesday, from 12pm to 8pm. Rosary nightly at 8pm.

House private after the rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Joe’s Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning, October 16 at 10am in St Patrick’s Church, Meenaweal, with burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Margaret Wilkinson, Melbourne and St Johnston

The death has taken place in Melbourne, Australia, of Margaret Wilkinson, nee Graham, formerly of Momeen, St Johnston.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her beloved daughters, Colleen and Lynette, grandchildren, her sisters Mary Henderson (Donegal Town) and Eileen Hardy (London) and brothers Jim (Gillian) Momeen, William (Nellie) Ballyholey, and Maurice (Raye) Australia, and all her extended family and friends.

The Celebration for the Life of Margaret will be held in Melbourne on Thursday, October 16 2025 at 11.15am (Irish Time, Thursday, October 16 at 1.15am).

Susan Duffy, Carrigans

The death has occurred of Susan Duffy (née Peoples), Dunmore, Carrigans.

Susan will be lovingly missed by her daughters Seána and Stephanie (Adrian); her grandchildren Liam (Zane) and Grace (David); her sister Annie Quinn, Galdonagh; her faithful companion Buddy the dog; and all her extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband Liam, her parents James and Sarah, her brothers Jimmy and Johnny, and her sisters Nellie and Rose. 

House private, please. The funeral cortege will leave her residence on Thursday, October 16 at 11:30 a.m., proceeding to St. Baithin’s Church, St. Johnston, for 12:00 noon Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, please.

Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o any family member or Kelly’s Funeral Directors, Oakfield, Raphoe.

Ralf Konarski, Bundoran 

The death has occurred of Ralf (Rafal) Konarski, Sheil Avenue, Bundoran and formerly of Poland on October 9, 2025, suddenly while at home in Poland.

Beloved and loving partner of Sylwia and adored father to daughter Weronika and son Kacper.

 He will be forever loved and remembered by his loving partner, daughter and son, his mother Ewa, his brother Arek and all his extended family and his many friends.

He made Bundoran his home along with his loving partner Sylwia, and since moving here many years ago he loved the town and its community, Ralf was the kindest, helpful and heart-warming person to all he met and adored his family so much, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

His Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 16 in the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran at 11am. Removal afterwards to St Ninnidh's Cemetery, Newtown Road, Bundoran for burial service.

Grace Mary Norton, Antrim and Fintown

The death has occurred of Grace Mary Norton, née McDevitt, Ballyclare, Antrim and formerly of Fintown. She passed away peacefully in her 99th year on October 8. 

Beloved wife of the late Joe RIP. Much loved mother of Deirdre, Eamonn, Peter and Grainne. Mother-in-law of Paula, Joanne, Conor and the late Andrew. A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Grace's remains will be reposing at 101 Boghill Road, Templepatrick, BT39 0HS from Monday, October 13. 

Requiem Mass will be held in St Bernard’s Church, 165 Antrim Road, Glengormley on Thursday, October 16 at 9.45am, followed by committal at Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium at 3pm. No flowers please. 

Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Children’s Hospice online via flemingandcuthbert.co.uk or by telephone (028 93344242 Mon - Fri 9.00am – 5.00pm).

Charlie Logan, Raphoe and London

The death has taken place of Charlie Logan, London, and formerly of The Diamond, Raphoe, County Donegal. He passed away in London on October 3 aged 78 years.

Charlie is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife Kathleen, his children Emma, Brian, and Kevin, his cherished grandchildren, his brother Ollie, sisters Etta, Gertie and Jean, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends. He will be fondly remembered by all his family in London, Raphoe, and his connections in Buncrana. Charlie was predeceased by his beloved parents Charlie and Sadie Logan, and his brothers Tommy and Willie.

A short service with prayers will also be held at the Roman Catholic Church of St Paul, Harefield UB9 6DG on Wednesday, October 15 at 7pm.

The funeral service for Charlie is at the Roman Catholic Church of St Paul, Harefield on Thursday, October 16 at 11am. For those unable to attend in person, both services can be viewed online on the church webcam Committal will take place at 12.30pm at St Mary's Church, Harefield, Church Hill, Harefield, Middlesex, UB9 6DU

After the service, you are warmly invited to join Charlie's family at The Shamrock Sports and Social Club to share a drink and memories in his honour.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, can be made to Cancer Research UK in his memory.

Bridget Lennon, London and Bruckless

The death has occurred of Bridget (Breege) Lennon, née McNern, Winchmore Hill, London and formerly Church View, Bruckless. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

Predeceased by her parents Joe and Maggie McNern, she is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by husband Matty, daughter Sharon, sons Mark and Barry, daughter-in-laws Maxine and Sophy, much adored grandmother of James, Ellie, Jack, Matthew, Bea and Molly, brothers Brian, Sean, Jim, Martin, sisters Margaret and Geraldine, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, dear friend Nanda and wide circle of friends in Ireland and London.
