Death notices for Donegal on Thursday evening
The following deaths have taken place:

Jack Meehan, Dublin and Donegal
The death has taken place of Jack Meehan, Pinewood, Ballybrack and formerly of Donegal. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St Vincent’s University Hospital.
Jack; dearly beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Bessie), grandad of the late Lara and Josh, much loved and adored father of John, Marie and Suzanne. He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Geraldine, grandchildren Dean, Saoirse, Abbey, Pierce and Emma, his grandchildren’s partners Lucy and Jack, great-grandchildren Ryan, Rhys, Evie, Sadhbh, Myia and Noah, sisters Lottie, Lily and Angela, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces extended family, friends and neighbours.
House private please.
His remains are reposing at Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin A96 V962 on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm with prayers at 3.30pm. All welcome.
Removal on Monday from his home to the Church of the Apostles, Willow Vale, Ballybrack arriving for 11.30am Requiem Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to St Michael’s Cremation Services Chapel at Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home arriving for 1.15pm cremation service. Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam and the cremation service can be viewed here

Allison Thompson, Letterkenny
The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Allison Thompson, née Larkin, 46 Carolina Park, Loughnagin, Letterkenny.
She is deeply missed by her loving husband Liam, son Dylan and daughter Cerys, mother Eileen, sister Carola Jordan and brother Ciaran, parents-in-law Gary and Jane Thompson, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Allison is predeceased by her father James and brother Dessie.
House private please at Allie's request.
Requiem Mass at 12.30pm on Saturday in The Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny with interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on the parish YouTube Channel

Eilis McGrane, Ballintra
The death has taken place peacefully at the Shiel Hospital, Ballyshannon, in the presence of her devoted family, of Eilis McGrane, née Finnegan, Ballinacarrick, Ballintra, Donegal, F94 E6C9.
Beloved wife of the late John, dearly missed by her loving family Edward, Elizabeth, Peter and Marie, daughters-in-law Isabell and Clare, son-in-law Enda and grandchildren Lisa (Cian), Eoin (Eileen), Eamonn, Mary, William, (Amy), Tom, Oisin, Karl and Cailiosa, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Reposal continues at her home, Ballinacarrick, Ballintra F94 E6C9 on Thursday from 2pm until 10pm. Family home private on the morning of the funeral please.
Removal on Friday at 10.15 am to St Brigid's Church, Ballintra F94 AP84 for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to the Shiel Hospital Patient Comfort Fund, where Eilis was dearly cared for. Donations to Jackie Carron Funeral Directors or to any immediate family member.
Seamus Byrne, Glencolmcille
The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Seamus Byrne, Cashel Glencolmcille, Co Donegal surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary, brother Stephen and sister-in-law Bríd, he is very sadly missed by his loving family, brothers Michael and Adrian and sister Catherine (Seamus), nephews Olan and Connor. Nieces Chantelle, Athena and Alannah and extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposal continues at his late residence on Thursday from 12 noon to 10pm.
Funeral Mass at 11am on Friday in St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be streamed on the parish webcam.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital and Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.
