Death notices for Donegal

The following deaths have taken place:

- Thomas Alcorn, Falcarragh

- Billy Bustard, Donegal Town

- Richard Armitage, Creeslough

- Katie McFadden, Letterkenny

Thomas Alcorn, Falcarragh

The peaceful death has taken place surrounded by his loving family, of Thomas Alcorn, Errarooney, Falcarragh. He passed away after a long illness and many years on Kidney dialysis in the wonderful care of the Haematology / Oncology ward of Letterkenny University Hospital, 

Predeceased by his parents George and Jean and his baby brother Albert James; sadly missed by his brothers Georgie, Robert David and Noel, sisters Margaret, Elizabeth, Eileen, Martha and Rosaleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and by many patients and dedicated staff of the Dialysis unit who knew him over the years.

His remains are reposing at Gortahork Funeral Premises F92 Ft7C with viewing on Monday from 4pm to 8pm and on Tuesday  from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral Service on Wednesday at 2pm in St Paul's Parish Church, Raymonterdoney, Ray.

Family Flowers only donations in lieu if desired to Kidney Dialysis unit, Letterkenny University Hospital care of any family member.

Billy Bustard, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of William Bustard, known as Billy, Screen, Donegal Town. He passed away peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital.

Deeply regretted by his loving children Julie (Robert), William (Louise) and Nicola (Nigel), grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, and extended family.

His remains are reposing at his daughter Nicola’s home, Bridgetown, F94 Y097 on Monday from 6pm to 9pm and Tuesday  from 2 to 8pm. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral Service in Laghey Parish Church on Wednesday at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to Donegal Community Hospital Patient’s Comfort Fund, care of George Irwin Funeral Directors or any family member.

Richard Armitage, Creeslough

The peaceful death has taken place at Donegal Hospice, of Richard Armitage, Massinass House, Creeslough, F92 R7N0.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, wife Mary and daughter Megan, nephews and extended family and friends, Richard is predeceased by his parents Cecil and Marjorie, sisters Janet and Susan, brothers Alan and Graham.

His remains are reposing at his late residence with wake continuing from 12 noon to 9pm on Monday. Family time please on the morning of the funeral. 

Funeral Service in St Michael's Church, Creeslough on Tuesday at 12 noon. Private cremation to follow. The Funeral Service can be viewed live on the parish webcam 

Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to The Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or James Harkin, Funeral Director. No Mass cards please.

Katie McFadden, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Katie McFadden, née Deery, Drumany, Letterkenny F92 K40E.

Deeply missed by her loving daughter Rosemary, grandchildren Natalie, Karlie, Amy and Joseph, sister-in-law Susan, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Katie is predeceased by her husband Paddy and her brothers Frankie and Eddie.

Katie’s remains are reposing at her late residence with wake continuing on Monday from 12 noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral from there on Tuesday at 10.30am going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass with interment afterwards in New Leck Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on the parish YouTube Channel 

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.
