One lucky person in Donegal is celebrating Christmas early today, with news that last night’s 2m Lotto jackpot ticket was sold in Donegal town.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery told the Donegal Democrat that the ticket was sold yesterday at Donegal Town Post Office.
The ticket was a 4 euro Quick Pick.
The winner has not yet come forward to claim their prize.
Rumours abounded that the winner is a local, living just outside the town. Enquiries, however, were met with a categorical denial and a wistful “If only!”
The winning numbers were 2,14,22,24,29,11 and the bonus number was 44.
