Charles Ward has been announced as a candidate
Charles Ward of the 100% Redress Party has been announced as a candidate for the forthcoming General Election.
Ward, a healthcare worker from Arranmore who now lives in Drumkeen, has been confirmed as the party’s candidate.
Ward ran as a candidate in the recent local elections. In the Lifford-Stranorlar area, Ward took 880 first preference votes, but was eliminated on the fourth count.
The father-of-four is a homeowner affected by defective concrete and says he has experienced “immense personal and financial toll that this crisis has brought upon thousands of families”.
However, he says his campaign will go beyond the 100% Redress.
Ward says Donegal faces numerous challenges, including a worsening housing crisis, mental health concerns, gaps in education, and an overstretched health service, the county also struggles with aging infrastructure,
Ward says that agriculture and fisheries are vital to the local economy and are facing increasing pressures. He says these sectors need stronger representation and support at a national level.
