Michael Lynch took Cloughaneely to victory in the Donegal IFC in 2021
Michael Lynch has been reappointed as Cloughaneely senior team manager.
He takes over from Denis Doohan, who was in charge for the past two seasons. Lynch spent six seasons at the helm at the Falcarragh-based club, having made the step-up from being John Paul Gallagher's assistant following the 2016 campaign, leaving in October 2022.
Having secured promotion to the top flight in his first season. Lynch guided the team to three successive Donegal IFC finals, losing in 2019 against St Naul's and then the following season at the hands of Aodh Ruadh.

However, in 2021 Cloughaneely won the competition following a replayed final win over Dungloe at O'Donnell Park and spent three seasons before they were relegated from the Donegal SFC last season. They almost slipped through the trapdoor to Division 3 of the All-County Football League, winning a relation play-off against Naomh Bríd on penalties in Glenfin.
“We wish himself and the team all the best for 2025,” Cloughaneely posted of Lynch, who will have Donal Curran and Denis Boyle on his backroom team. “We would also like to thank Denis Doohan and his management team for all their hard work and dedication over the last two years.”
