Finnbarr Roarty will be one of the star members for the Donegal U-20 side this season

Donegal has been placed in Group A alongside Tyrone, Antrim, Down, and Fermanagh, as the draw for the U-20 Ulster football championship took place on Tuesday night.

Group B features Armagh, Cavan, Monaghan, and Derry with fixtures to be confirmed shortly, however, the competition will start on Wednesday, March 19.

Gary Boyle, a Naomh Muire clubman, has been appointed as Donegal's U-20 manager for the 2025 season. Boyle succeeds Shaun Paul Barrett and brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously managed the Naomh Muire senior team and served on Declan Bonner's backroom teams at minor, U-20, and senior levels.

Under Boyle's leadership, Donegal aims to build on their recent performances. In the 2024 Ulster U-20 Championship, the team secured a commanding 2-15 to 0-16 victory over Cavan in the opening round. However, they were narrowly defeated by Derry in the semi-finals, with Derry edging out a 1-12 to 0-14 win.

The team's most recent triumph came in 2017, when they clinched the Ulster Under-21 Football Championship title under the stewardship of Declan Bonner with a win over Derry in the final.
