LyIT women's team who defeated NUIG
Letterkenny Institute of Technology women’s Gaelic football team began their Moynihan Cup campaign with a routine away win over NUIG on Tuesday.

Katie Long top-scored for the Katy Herron-managed LyIT with 1-7. Eimear O’Nell weighed in with 1-4 and Lauren McBride hit 1-2.
Claire Doherty, who finished with 1-1, was the other goalscorer.
LyIT had nine different scorers registering.
