Fewer pothole complaints in Donegal than other counties
Donegal residents made 522 complaints to Donegal County Council about potholes in 2024.
The number of complaints made by Donegal residents was the fifth lowest in the country, that is despite Donegal having the third-largest road network in the country.
Figures obtained by Newstalk under the Freedom of Information Act showed that only residents from Longford, Carlow, Leitrim, and Kildare made fewer complaints about potholes than Donegal. Residents in Kildare only made 99 complaints about potholes to their local authorities, the lowest in the country.
