Mark English cruised to yet another Irish 800m title.
The Finn Valley AC star breezed home to win the ninth national indoor gold of his career – a 17th overall.
The winning time of 1:52.47 was by no means his fastest, but he was a master at work, dodging away from his rivals in a 26-second last 200m.
English seemed in a man in utter control as he clicked up the gears.
The Letterkenny man eased his way to the final when winning his heat on Saturday in a comfortable 1;52.89.
Already a four-time European medallist, English will line up in the European Indoors in Istanbul in two weeks' time.
Tir Chonaill Ac's Conall Mahon claimed silver in the men's triple jump. Mahon had a best effort of 14.40 metres, but Lagan Valley man Jai Benson retained his title with a 14.79m effort.
This morning, Finn Valley AC's Lauren Callaghan continued her excellent form to nab bronze in the women's long jump.
Callaghan fouled her first two visits to the board, but the DCU student steadied and leapt out to 6.08 metres on her final go.
Irish junior record holder Elizabeth Ndudi won gold, going out to 6.28m in the final jump beat Ruby Millet on a countback.
Tir Chonaill Ac's Geraldine Stewart was sixth in the women's shot put, Tir Chonaill AC's Jack Murphy eighth in the pole vault
