Adrienne Gallen, Hannah Murray, Fintan Dewhirst and Joseph Gillespie in Wales.
Fintan Dewhirst clocked a meeting record to win gold at the Welsh Under-20 International on Saturday.
All four Donegal athletes who competed left with medals from Cardiff with Dewhirst and Adrienne Gallen taking gold and Finn Valley AC duo Hannah Murray and Jose[h Gillespie bagging silvers.
Dewhirst had set a new Donegal record of 51.49 seconds for the 400m hurdles at the recent European Under-20 Championships in Jerusalem.
The 2022 European Under-18 silver medallist was on form in Wales. The Tir Chonaill AC man finished in 52.16 seconds to take the win from England’s Hayden Christian and Ben Heron from Scotland, who each set new PBs.
Gallen, who won bronze at the National Senior Championships this year, won the women’s hammer.
The Lifford-Strabane AC woman threw a best effort of 52.69m. Welsh athlete Amelia Fettis was Gallen’s nearest challenger, throwing out to 48.33m.
Murray, who also competed in Jerusalem as part of the 4x400m relay team, was the 400m silver medal winner.
The Finn Valley athlete finished in 56.98 seconds with England’s Kara Dacosta winning the race in 55.21 seconds.
Gillespie was the triple jump silver medallist. The Finn Valley AC man had a best leap of 14.36m - just 1cm shy of his PB, set earlier this summer.
Gillespie’s jump arrived on his sixth go, but Oluwafemi Segun from England leapt out to an excellent 15.17m to take gold. Four of Segun’s six jumps were beyond the 15m mark.
