Frosses rally driver Eamonn Kelly earned a podium place at the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece on Sunday.
Kelly and co-driver Conor Mohan were second of the Junior WRC crews in the event.
Kelly and Mohan were 21st overall after the testing 305.81km event in a Ford Fiesta Rally 3.
Last year, Kelly became the Junior British Rally champion and, as part of the prize, he received a supported drive in a WRC round.
Kelly and Mohan climbed to second after the Karoutes stage, SS8, on Saturday and maintained their place for the remainder.
After Friday’s six stage, they were in fourth with Kelly losing a lot of time on SS1 due to an intercom issue.
The Irish duo stayed stead on Saturday and Sunday to get onto the podium.
Kelly is a son of former Irish Tarmac Rally champion Donagh Kelly and last year the 24-year-old named the winner of the Billy Coleman Award.
Fellow Irish driver William Creighton was crowned FIA Junior WRC champion, becoming the first Irish driver to win the title since the late Craig Breen achieved the feat in 2011.
The County Down driver - who is actually a member of the Donegal Motor Club - managed to take home a fifth place finish in Greece which was enough to ensure the championship win by eight points ahead of Domínguez
