Newly crowned Irish Youth champion Caoimhin Connolly will headline a home Twin Towns BC show in Ballybofey on Friday night.

Connolly will clash with Jack Willis at Jackson’s Hotel as Twin Towns host a bumper night of action.

Connolly faces Willis, from the Gateway BC in Sligo, in a Youth 2 bout that tops the bill.

Last month, Connolly overcame Kurt Kinsella to land the National Youth 48kgs title at the National Stadium.

The Twin Towns light-fly earned a 4-1 split decision to take hold of his first national crown.

Roisin Hegarty, a three-time Irish champion, will take on Rhilee May Cox, also of Gateway BC, in a Girl 3 60kgs fight.

Hegarty is a recent recruit to Twin Towns. The Letterkenny teenager won three Irish titles while at Illies Golden Gloves.

Last year, Hegarty boxed in the European Schoolgirls Championships at Banja Luka in Bosnia & Herzegovina, bowing out to Varvara Parshikova from Russia in a quarter-final.

Hegarty won the 2024 National Junior Cadet title at 60kgs when beating Olivia Farrell from St Brigid's, Edenderry.

Hegarty won her first national title in 2023, claiming the Girl 1 51kgs honours, and she also won the Girl 2 57kgs crown in 2024.

The Anderson name is synonymous with boxing in the Twin Towns and the latest generation are on the bill for Friday.

Brian Anderson meets Leo Herron from Gateway BC while Jack Anderson gloves off with Jack McGoldrick of Ederney BC.
