The hotel already oozed elegance and class throughout but now they’ve just raised the bar even further and firmly cementing their position as that ‘high-class’ yet affordable experience for all.

Ron Kerrigan, hotel general manager, said: “Very exciting times for all concerned at the Lodge. We planned this large-scale refurbishment  for a year and we are so thrilled now to see it all come to fruition. We undertook such a large  project in such a short amount of time but we knew it was possible and now we can all reap the  rewards.

“Last year we celebrated 20 years in business and it was just so fitting to now invest  further in the hotel and that will stand us in good stead for the next 20 years. Hotel proprietors  Sean and Mary Keogh boast such passion for the hotel and it’s wonderful to be in a position to  work so closely with them and continue to push this fantastic hotel to even greater heights.

"We’ve put so much effort into the hotel these last few years and have laid strong foundations to  not only allow for future growth but to provide a stable environment for guests to enjoy and to  continue to provide local employment in the small rural community. We have excellent support  in Inishowen and being a proud Inishowen man myself, it’s truly wonderful to see.

“On behalf of all concerned at the hotel we would also like to take this opportunity to thank  everyone involved in this project from staff to suppliers. We worked with many teams and most were based in Inishowen. Too many to mention but special praise goes towards; the teams at  McGonigles and  Donegal Tile Centre, Ashley Martin Shopfitters, Coady Electrics, McGonigle  Antique Restoration and Wardstone Surfaces.”
