Bonagee United and Letterkenny Rovers will meet in the Donegal Women’s Cup final next week.
Bonagee booked a place in the final when recording a big win over Raphoe Town at Dry Arch Park on Monday night with Letterkenny Rovers defeating Drumbar United on Sunday afternoon.
The derby rivals will joust at The Diamond Park, Ballyare on Tuesday next, September 12, at 7pm.
Caoimhne Heron was on the mark with a hat-trick on Monday night in an 8-0 win for Chris McNulty’s Bonagee.
Caitlin Fletcher fired Bonagee, who contested the FAI Women’s Amateur Cup final in July, in front in the early moments and Heron added the second soon after.
Bronagh Gallagher tucked in her 27th goal of the season in the 20th minute. Heron had her hat-trick secured by half-time with Fletcher having added her second.
Deborah Kerrigan arrowed in an excellent double in the second half.
On Sunday, Brid McGinty’s Rovers claimed a 4-1 away win at Drumbar.
E McBride put Letterkenny Rovers, who made their return to the Donegal Women’s League in 2023, ahead, but Shaznay Doyle equalised for Drumbar.
However, Zara Dillon, Emma Price and Danielle Hynd netted for Rovers to seal their advancement.
On Sunday evening at 5pm, also at the Diamond Park, Drumbar and Raphoe will meet in the Shield final.
