Shane O’Gara made his League debut on Saturday as Dergview won for the second game on the trot in the NIFL Championship.

The Glencolmcille man was in goal for Dergview - now under the charge of Ivan Sproule - as they defeated Bangor 2-1 at Darragh Park.

Dergview fell behind when Lewis Harrison scored, but goals by Padraig Lynch and ex-Finn Harps man Niall McGinley turned the tide.

O’Gara moved to Dergview in August having previously had spells at Finn Harps, St Catherine’s, Letterkenny Rovers, Buncrana Hearts and Keadue Rovers.

Jack Parke, Keith Cowan - who scored twice in the previous week’s 5-0 win over Knockbreda - and Shane McMonagle were also in the Dergview side.

Sproule is in temporary charge of Dergview following a parting of ways with Tommy Canning, who has since returned to assist interim manager Darren Murphy at Finn Harps.

Carndonagh man Evan Tweed scored for Institute in added time, but they lost 2-1 to Dundela at the Brandywell. Ballyboey’s Mark Mbuli was included in the ‘Stute XI with Michael Harris from Convoy coming on as a substitute,

In the NIFL Premiership, Ronan Doherty from Carndonagh and Letterkenny native Oran Brogan played on opposing sides as Doherty’s Cliftonville and Brogan’s Loughgall shared a 1-1 draw at Solitude.
